Pink Eye Treatment – Do Home Remedies Really Work?

There is a whole series of remedies floating home to the Treatment of Pink Eye. But it pretty much depends on the same thing. Some suggest the use of a compress, which is simply a damp cloth or pad held over the eyes, while others point out that you should swab or eye. They only differ in what they suggest, you should enter the water.

None of these so-called “measures” will cure the condition. But they can alleviate the symptoms and the recovery process, which makes them a useful addition for the Treatment of Pink Eye.

The five questions you need to answer are:

1. What liquid should I use?

Clean water should be used. It must not be sterilized – simple water is fine. If you are in doubt about the quality of the water, you should boil or use bottled water.

2. What should I be?

That's up to you, but my recommendation is soda, amounting to half a teaspoon to a cup of water. Sodium is a common ingredient that is easily accessible, safe and easy to use, and has no side effects.

3. What temperature is best?

This is also yours. I personally like it warm, but whatever temperature you feel you have the most relief organizations. Just make sure that it is not too hot.

4. How do I join?

If you plan to swab or bathe the eye, then with something small, soft, and disposable. A makeup removal pad is ideal, or a small bundle of cotton. Wipe your eyes slightly, in an outward movement (ie from the nose to ear). Try not to use the same part of the swab twice.

If you compress it, you probably need something bigger, like a face washer, or a small towel.

5. How often and for how long, can I do with the eyes?

5-10 minutes at a time 3-4 times a day, is usually sufficient.
